The Village of Bar Harbor is only five miles away.  Fantastic dining, shopping, art galleries, museums and views await you.  Get your fill of blueberry pie or ice cream at various cafes.  You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to selecting a place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 

Only 10 minutes from the house, Northeast Harbor is a quaint and seaside village filled with shops, restaurants and yachts.

On the "quiet side" of the island, you'll find freshwater swimming at Echo Lake and Long Pond.  Southwest Harbor has many restaurants and shops to visit.  Don't forget the blueberry pie and ice cream after a day at the beach or hiking the trails!
